Adoption

Please be aware that all dogs that have come into the Phoenix fold recently have all been adopted by their foster carers.  This is the best possible outcome for the dogs as they arrive in foster and never need to leave.

Since May 2021, and with most fosterers choosing to adopt the dog in their care, we ask that all potential adopters register to foster.  This means that we can get to you know you and support you with a dog in your care, and even if that particular dog is not The One, we will have seen precisely what kind of dog suits your home for next time.  But we have become rather good at getting this right first time round!

On the rare occasion that a dog comes to us and we don't have a suitable home immediately available the dog will be fostered until the most suitable home is found.  This can often only be matter of days.  Dogs needing homes will be featured on our Facebook page in a Dog At A Glance (DAAG) post.  If you are homechecked and available to take a dog featured on these please contact your regional team.  If you are not homechecked but possibly a very good match for a dog needing a home we may be able to expedite a homecheck.

Join our Facebook page to see more of what we do and how we do it, and make contact with your Regional Team who will answer any questions or queries you may have in relation to fostering one of our dogs – or send us a message via our contact form.

If you would like to be considered as a foster-carer, whether to adopt or not, please register using our online registration form.  Please note however, that certain regions are currently not taking any further foster applications due to the large number already in the system.   Our registration form is updated regularly to reflect those regions able to accept registrations
