Any additional training needs?
Does have some food guarding issues and this needs to be addressed as she is used to having human food thrown to her and may 'growl' and be vocal as a reminder to give it. She will also need additional lead-training due to not having been walked for some time since being attacked on a walk. Full support will be given.
No need for toilet training, as she has taught herself to open the door and go out when needed! Bells on the handle of a locked door might be a good compromise.
Type of home needed:
Saladin has lived in a home with a young child with additional needs who was hitting her, so she may be better with older children to avoid any bad associations. She did not react to this but her owner was worried for her.
Saladin has lived in a very lively environment so her needs have not always been a priority and she now deserves somewhere a little quieter where she can live calmly.
If the foster carer decides to adopt this dog at the end of the foster period, the fee will be £350.
