This section should give you all the information you need to know about fostering or adopting a Phoenix dog.

Please read the FAQs and fostering & adoption guidelines carefully before registering to make sure it's right for you.

The majority of dogs who have  come into the Phoenix fold recently have all been adopted by their foster carers.  This is the best possible outcome for the dogs as they arrive in foster and never need to leave.

With this in mind we ask that all potential adopters register to foster.  This means that we can get to you know you and support you with a dog in your care, and even if that particular dog is not 'The One', we will have seen precisely what kind of dog suits your home for next time.  However, we have become rather good at getting this right first time round!

On the rare occasion that a dog comes to us and we don't have a suitable home immediately available the dog will be fostered until the most suitable home is found.  This can often only be matter of days.  Dogs needing homes will be featured on our Social Media in a Dog At A Glance (DAAG) post.  If you are homechecked and available to take a dog featured on these please contact your regional team.  If you are not homechecked but possibly a very good match for a dog needing a home we may be able to expedite a homecheck.
