I signed up to rescue initially to give my Frenchie, Marley, a companion after sadly losing his big brother Ozzy. Marley was lost without him and also suffering really badly with separation anxiety.
Within days of completing my home check I received a call to take this wee fella in. He has become my little shadow, following me everywhere - especially to the kitchen - and I no longer visit the loo alone! He’s so good with commands and loves a cuddle. He’s such a sweetie but it has been challenging dealing with bonding and resource guarding; understandable as he was an only dog for 7 years, However, after a couple of months, we are seeing real progress! I often find the two dogs snuggled up together in the same bed and Phoenix Fruh has finally stopped attacking Marley when he wants to play or share toys. I am very confident that they are now becoming best buddies.
I’m so glad we rescued this wee fella and gave him the secure loving home that he deserves.
